Discover the spirit of togetherness through communal dining at Folkehuset Absalon.

At Folkehuset Absalon, communal dining has become a nightly tradition, welcoming guests of all ages from around the city and across the globe. These meals are more than just about eating-they’re about being present, sparking curiosity, and connecting with others, even strangers.

‘Communal Dinner, With Love from Absalon’ offers a glimpse into this unique experience through a blend of text, photos, and illustrations. The book explores the philosophy behind the project, shares stories about the food and the diverse guests, and even includes recipes so you can create your own communal dinners wherever you are. It’s simple to start-just bring food and people together.
